EL VIENTO Y YO.


El viento que taladra las distancias
con su fino violín nostálgico,
pasa acariciando mi corazón olvidado.
 Silba en el fondo de mi oído
un lamento de noches huérfanas,
de días caídos a mordiscos,
de suspiros rodantes
rumbo a las letanías del sol.
Él, que todo lo cura con sus manos
de terciopelo,
que todo lo olvida ahogado de memorias;
es mi fiel compañero,
no cesa de venir a mi encuentro
cuando la oscuridad se escapa
por las ventanas.
Me acuna en  sus brazos suaves y alados,
 me dejo acariciar,
cierro los ojos y él besa mis párpados,
me recorre de pie a cabeza,
coge mis cabellos y los echa a volar.
Luego lo siento irse hacia lugares profundos,
donde las olas se circunnavegan eternamente
a sí mismas,
y las estrellas se asperjan en los mástiles de los buques
bajo una alfombra de lentejas de agua.
 Al amanecer cansado de vagabundear
los confines del mundo,
vuelve a mí, envuelto en su séquito
de pétalos y hojas
y se postra sumiso a mis pies.

Daniel Boyle is the News Content Manager and Sports Editor for Chilean English language magazine and website I Love Chile.  Daniel is an Australian living in Santiago, married to a Chilean, whose main interests are sports, music and travel. He has a Bachelor of Sports Management from the University of Canberra and a Master of Arts (Writing) from Swinburne University of Technology. 

Daniel has been competing in Freestyle Footbag since 2001 and has competed twice at the World Championships (2009, 2010). He was Australian champion in 2010 and was the judge of the first ever Malaysian Championships in 2011. Daniel hopes  to spread the sport throughout Chile. In order to promote footbag he has appeared in Las Ultimas Noticias and on the Megavision program Salta a la Vista.
